Artificial intelligence takes the spotlight in Microsoft’s Christmas campaign

Conceived and developed by McCann New York, ‘Turn Your Holidays into a Masterpiece’ illustrates that the true power of technology lies in its ability to enhance and elevate the human story.

Artificial intelligence has been a prominent concept in 2023, and unsurprisingly, Microsoft has centered its Christmas campaign around this tool.

In ‘Turn Your Holidays into a Masterpiece,’ individuals utilize AI to illustrate their most cherished holiday rituals, showcasing that technology is a tool humanity can empower for the better.

Conceived and developed by McCann New York, the ad begins with a woman setting up a creative space in a festively decorated square. Instead of a canvas, she carries a computer with her.

People from various backgrounds approach her and share their precious holiday traditions, from the Japanese New Year to the Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes. The artist then reveals to each guest stunning personalized artworks created by AI, inspired by their anecdotes.

“This year, we want to celebrate the unique Christmas traditions that people experience worldwide,” explained Kathleen Hall, Microsoft’s Brand Director, to various media outlets. “With the magic of AI and Microsoft Designer, anyone can be an artist and bring their memories to life, creating beautiful masterpieces to share.”

The campaign will be featured on Microsoft’s digital and social channels.
